If there's one thing I remember about Christmas, it's my mum and sister seated around our round wooden kitchen table making šape. Known as medvjeđe šape (bear paws) because of the traditional moulds they are baked in, this is a truly traditional Croatian recipe. And the quintessential Christmas recipe.
